A. Lange & Söhne - The LITTLE LANGE 1 in blue garb

ith its blue-underlaid mother-of-pearl dial, the LITTLE LANGE 1 in a 36-millimetre pink- or white-gold case underscores the feminine facets of A. Lange & Söhne’s celebrated design icon.

In September 2015, A. Lange & Söhne is presenting two new versions of the LITTLE LANGE 1 at the Watches & Wonders haute horlogerie exhibition. To achieve the delicate- blue colour-saturation effect, the solid-silver dial of both models was endowed with a blue base tint and faced with a thin layer of mother-of-pearl.

The version with the pink-gold case combines pink-gold appliques on the dial and a subtly textured beige calfskin strap to achieve the balanced interplay of materials and colours. In the white-gold model, the appliques in rhodiumed gold and a calfskin strap that matches the blue hue of the dial contribute to its cooler looks.

From a technical standpoint, the LITTLE LANGE 1 features everything that inherently makes the modern classic so desirable. This includes the artisanally finished manufacture movement with a power reserve of three days and the outsize date that has become the brand’s insignia. The German-silver three-quarter plate decorated with Glashütte ribbing, the gold chatons secured with thermally blued screws and the whiplash precision index adjuster on the hand-engraved balance cock are further hallmarks that make this watch an exclusive treasure in terms of technical finesse as well.
