Thanksgiving Lunch at Four Seasons

Enjoy the parade on the big screen in Ty Bar, then warm up with complimentary spiced apple cider and cookies in the Hotel’s grand lobby from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

In a celebration of the Hudson Valley harvest, The Garden’s #thanksgiving lunch begins with luscious starters such as warm sunchoke veloute with truffled parsnips and spiced cream, or robust kale salad with butternut squash, pomegranate vinaigrette and spiced pumpkin seeds.

The star of the day is slow roast organic local turkey with chestnut sage stuffing, smoked brussels sprouts and traditional trimmings.  Other mains include organic salmon, Delmonico steak, Long Island duck, Maine lobster risotto, and whole wheat orrechiette.

Save room for dessert, whether Pastry Chef Bojic’s pumpkin pie with bourbon anglaise, apple tatin with mascarpone cremeux, or her exquisite #chocolate creation with fleur de sel and caramel.

Holiday Brunch in The Garden

The Garden’s popular weekend brunch takes on a festive mood, starting with some holiday cheer including seasonal favourite Ty Bar Toddy and a delicious Winter Margarita, plus The Garden’s own Bloody Mary with spicy Brooklyn pickles.

Festivus Market gives a wink to the mythical holiday, offering Hepworth Farms greens, or juniper-citrus gravlax among other starting choices.  For mains, brunch favourites are elevated with Chef Johnson’s creative twists, such as cauliflower steak with black walnut quinoa, or bacon and egg ramen with soft poached egg, lacquered pork belly and smoke bonito broth.  Sweet tooths will be hard pressed to choose between gingerbread waffles with egg nog crème anglaise and “slice of yule” French toast with current jam and spiced whipped cream.

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Benefitting #toys for Tots

Taking pride of place in its striking 33-foot (10 metre) high lobby, the #christmas tree at Four Seasons #hotel #newyork is a favoured stop during the holidays, and the magical moment when it’s lit is a special treat.  This year, Four Seasons management and staff invite merrymakers to witness the official tree lighting ceremony as a children’s choir performs, and complimentary Louis Roederer Champagne is passed for adult guests.

As always, everyone is encouraged to bring a new and unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Christmas at Four Seasons

New Yorkers infamously love to dine out, especially on special occasions where the focus is on family and friends rather than cooking and washing up.  On #christmas Day from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm, Chef Johnson’s lunch menu equals the day with a delightful selection inspired by the Hudson Valley harvest.  Starters include chestnut bisque with spiced cream and black truffles; roasted prawns with fennel, orange and carrot-lemon soubise; and an indulgent terrine of locally sourced foie gras.

For the main #event, tradition steps aside in a distinctly modern menu of glazed kurobota pork, organic rack of lamb, duo of wagyu beef or slow roasted brazino, as well as vegetarian ravioli with housemade ricotta, truffled squashes and swiss chard.

For dessert, there’s fig and cranberry pudding with spiced orange, and buttermilk panna cotta with wild honey and egg nog crème.  Or, succumb to the temptation of Chef Bojic’s special liquid gold caramel tart before New Year’s resolutions kick in.

The Garden will also serve its daily seasonal breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 am on #christmas Day, and complimentary spiced apple cider and cookies in the Lobby from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

The day prior, The Garden will offer its seasonal breakfast menu from 7:30 to 10:30 am on #christmas Eve, followed by Holiday Brunch from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm.

Roaring 20s New Years Eve Soiree at Ty Bar

The striking lounge off the Hotel’s grand lobby is the setting for one of the city’s most anticipated parties.  #newyearseve at Ty Bar is an intimate and elegant affair, this year with a “Roaring 20s” theme in dress and décor.

Guests will enjoy dancing to a live jazz/swing band, and at midnight, with the Times Square ball drop broadcast on the big screen, glasses of rare Louis XIII cognac are raised to toast 2018.  Tickets also include reserved seating with canapes and a bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal for each couple, plus party favours and a gift bag.  In addition to classic cocktails and Ty Bar’s signature selections, there will be a Louis Roederer Ice Sculpture Champagne Bar and caviar menu for the occasion.
