CCN builds a new 31 m Fuoriserie yacht designed by Guido De Groot for a European Owner

Avenza (Carrara), 09 January 2018 - #ccn celebrated the end of the Year with another important achievement, signing the third order in 2017, for a European owner. This 31 m displacement aluminium #yacht will be part of the ‘Fuoriserie’ line, which features unique models, exclusively designed to the Owner’s requirements.

The #guidodegroot design firm has taken care of interior and exterior design, while the Ginton firm was in charge of naval architecture. The #yacht is characterized by classical and sober outer lines and, especially, by highly sophisticated technological solutions, with a great focus on environmental sustainability and efficiency.

Indeed, the vessel will be fitted with 2x Schottel twin propeller units STP 150 FP controlled by a hybrid system, which will feature both traditional diesel engines and electrical engines energized by gensets or batteries, resulting in low consumption and a limited environmental impact. The #yacht will also be equipped with Gyroscopes stabilizers in addition to fin stabilizers, so as to ensure the utmost comfort and safety both at anchor and during navigation. The two CAT C9.3 B engines will push the craft to a maximum speed of 12.5 knots, falling to 8 when the electrical mode is on.

The layout includes a master cabin and 2 guest cabins on the lower deck, while the main deck hosts a large salon with a comfortable L-shaped sofa, the dining area, and an open galley, all located behind the helm station. Outdoor, on the same deck, 2 pleasant lounge areas can be found forward and aft.

A second helm station is located on the fly bridge, which is entirely devoted to life in the open air, and is fitted with sun loungers, a bar area, and a dining area.

The aft swimming platform hosts a 5.5 m tender.

This project is the fourth ‘Fuoriserie’ motor #yacht featuring a light alloy hull built by #ccn, following the 50m Elsea, K40 and Freedom, confirming the Carrara-based shipyard’s increasing focus on providing tailor-made services and yachts designed and built to meet the Client’s specific wishes and taste.

Great flexibility and a strong focus on the client lie at the very heart of the entire product range proposed by the Italian boat builder, who is currently developing a new 50 m project, the ‘Lysithea 50’, designed by design firm Baccigalupo using the successful hull of the Elsea, which comes in the water-jet or shaft-line versions. The production of the more traditional line 102’ FlyingSport in fiberglass is also continuing, together with the steel and aluminium ‘small mega yachts’ between 30 and 35 m in length by Tommaso Spadolini and an explorer-type line designed by Vallicelli. A brand-new proposal, conversely, is the one envisaging an aluminium fully-equipped 33 m vessel, the #ccn 33 FlyingComfort, whose outer lines have been designed by Carlo Cerri, with interiors by Stefano Vafiadis. Also in the 33-meter aluminium segment, #ccn is proposing two projects, the 33DOM and the 36DOM, both designed by Stefano Vafiadis. The cooperation with Floating Life remains strong too: besides the K40, the two companies are also offering a 41.5 m craft, the C415, which is the K40’s natural evolution.
