Qatar duty free opens the first Samsung experience store in the middle east
Qatar Duty Free (QDF) is delighted to announce the opening of the first Samsung Experience Store in the Middle East at Hamad International Airport (HIA). This high-tech experiential hub, which is operated by QDF, is a cutting-edge tech zone allowing guests to experience the latest innovations from Samsung and to make use of the exclusive Customer Service Desk for training and education about Samsung products, software upgrades, the resolution of application issues and any other technical problems experienced by passengers travelling through the airport. Keith Hunter, Senior Vice President Qatar Duty Free said: “The opening of the new Samsung Experience Store at Hamad International Airport is an exciting development for Qatar Duty Free. This is an original and dynamic concept that we are proud to introduce to our customers shopping at the airport. This innovative store will appeal to those who wish to experience world-class technology in a highly interactive retail environment. Qatar Duty Free currently operates more than 70 retail outlets at HIA and we are constantly expanding our offering by adding new stores to ensure that there is something for everyone travelling through the airport.” He concluded: “We are attracting the most prestigious brand names to our duty free offering at HIA, and we are delighted to introduce the Samsung Experience Store, which offers the best in world-class technology to customers in an impressive, highly interactive retail space.” “We are very pleased that Hamad International Airport will be the first international airport to house a Samsung Experience Store,” said Hayssam Yassine, Head of IT and Mobility Sales Group at Samsung Gulf Electronics. “HIA is not just an airport; it’s a destination for more than 28 million passengers a year, and it is the ideal place for us to connect both new and loyal customers to our expanding product range of mobile devices.” He added: “The new location at Hamad International Airport will also give consumers the same exciting and attentive in-store experience offered by our other SES stores around the world. At this unique travel retail store, passengers will be able to share, play, and learn in an innovative and exciting environment that is designed with the customer in mind.” At HIA, QDF offers 40,000 square metres of combined retail, food and beverage facilities, establishing the retailer as a premier shopping and dining destination. With more than 70 retail outlets offering an unprecedented selection of designer labels, fashion, electronics, gourmet foods and much more, Qatar Duty Free at HIA caters to all passengers’ tastes. In addition, more than 30 cafés and restaurants offer a sumptuous selection of global and local cuisine. Other luxury brands also available at HIA include: Bulgari, Hermès, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Mont Blanc, Rolex and Chanel.
