2016 New York Auto Show – Koenigsegg Regera, One:1

Koenigsegg Automotive AB, along with their US distribution partnerManhattan Motorcars, is pleased to announce the North American debut of the new #koenigsegg #regera at the New York #auto Show. The #regera will be shown in production specification following its recent global debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1.
The #regera is an automotive revolution unto itself, combining three electric motors and an internal combustion engine to deliver an astonishing 1500 hp directly to the rear wheels – with no gearbox. The #koenigsegg Direct Drive system has replaced the traditional transmission, meaning less weight and minimized transmission losses. It uses power from the electric motors combined with just a single final drive to deliver a seamless driving experience that is a first in the automotive industry.
The world’s first ‘Megacar’ will also be shown in New York – the #koenigsegg One:1. The One:1 is named for its power-to-weight ratio, with 1 Megawatt or 1,360hp to match its 1,360kg curb weight; a world first for a production car. The One:1 set speed records at Suzuka Curcuit and Spa-Francorchamps in 2015, along with an acceleration record from 0-300kmh-0 (186mph), achieved in an astonishing 17.95 seconds. Only 7 examples exist and the display car is the only One:1 that resides in the United States.

The #regera will be at the show from March 23-26 only.
