Maserati was in action this weekend at #silverstone as the Official Pace Car for the #silverstone Classic, the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival held 29-31 July.

The Quattroporte and Ghibli pace cars were used by the Clerk of the Course’s team of marshals across the weekend to support the on-track action.  Whilst the track action is historic in nature, #maserati displayed their recently launched Levante SUV alongside current Ghibli and Quattroporte models in a display area nestled amongst the numerous #maserati Club cars also on show.

The #maserati Trophy for HGPCA Pre’66 Grand Prix Cars saw 48 fantastic Grand Prix cars dating between 1937 and 1964 take the flag at the start of the race with no fewer than four priceless front-engined #maserati 250Fs taking part.   The legendary 250Fs were raced to victory by both Stirling Moss and Juan Manual Fangio in Formula One during the 1950s.

Peter Denton, Region Manager #maserati North Europe, commented: “The #silverstone Classic is always a great spectator #event and it’s an honour to be the Official Pace Car, leading hundreds of iconic motorsport cars around the track. We are happy to once again partner with #silverstone Classic and display our strong motorsport #heritage as well as give the public a chance to see our current range both on and off track. We’re also celebrating a milestone in our over one hundred year history as we introduce Maserati’s first ever SUV – the Levante – to this historic #event.”
