The Crew Network Italy’s Captain’s Christmas Dinner

The 2nd Captain’s Christmas Dinner hosted by The Crew Network was held in Viareggio at the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte on December 7th. The historical location, built in the 1920’s, welcomed 160 guests including over 95 Captains from all over the world and industry sponsors to network over a sumptuous xx course dinner.
This year two captains were rewarded for their longstanding loyalty to The Crew Network. Captain Dario Savino (M/Y Regina D’Italia) received the prize rewarding his 33 years’ experience as Captain on yachts above 40m. Captain Enrico Orselli sailing on the motor #yacht Freemont since 2007, received the award for his longstanding loyalty to The Crew Network on board of yachts below 40m. For the past 30 years, 10 as a Captain, he has been sailing all over the world.
The awards were presented by Alessandro D’Angelo, Manager of the Crew Network Italy. Guests enjoyed a warm opening speech by Fraser Yachts CEO, Raphael Sauleau who brought everyone’s attention to the Italian Down Syndrome Association to which the evening was dedicated. An incredible raffle was organised with amazing prizes provided by the various sponsors and €10,000 was raised for the #charity to help support their projects throughout the year.
The exquisite dinner was prepared by the renowned Two Michelin Star Chef Giuseppe Mancino, after which the guests enjoyed a light show animated by three professional dancers. At the end of the enchanting evening, each guest received a gift bag including various goodies graciously provided by the sponsors, thanking them for their attendance and as memento of this remarkable party.
