Compact point of entry to the world of premium saloons The A-Class Saloon as the seventh model further expands the range of compact cars from #MercedesBenz. A logical addition, because with the C, E and S-Class, #MercedesBenz has more premium saloon competence than most other manufacturers.
Focus on the global market: In 2017, more than 620,000 compact cars were delivered to customers in around 170 markets around the world. Back in 2013, a compact car from #MercedesBenz was sold on the American market for the first time with the launch of the four-door Coupé CLA.And this move has been a successful one: In 2017, more than 50 percent of CLA customers were new to #MercedesBenz. The new A-Class Saloon expands the compact car range in the US in addition to the CLA. The new A-Class Saloon will be built in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and Rastatt, Germany.
Always on: MBUX is a user experience revolution in the car regarding 3D graphics, intuitive operation including via touchscreen and "Hey Mercedes" voice-operated control, ability to learn as well as functions such as MBUX Augmented Reality for navigation.
World record defended: none is more aerodynamic. The new A-Class Saloon utilises the favourable set-up of its long rear to attain the original world record of the CLA Coupé of cw 0.22. Thanks to the frontal area of 2.19 m², smaller than that of the CLA, the new A-Class Saloon has the lowest aerodynamic drag of all production vehicles worldwide.
Safety upgrade: The new A-Class Saloon is able to drive semi-autonomously in certain driving situations.It has driving assistance systems with cooperative driver support, and thus provides one of the highest levels of active safety in this segment with functions adopted from the S‑Class.
The heart of an athlete: The engine portfolio of the A-Class Saloon is efficient, powerful and completely fulfils the Euro 6d TEMP limits[1]. There are six engines available at launch, two of which are combined with 4MATIC all-wheel drive:
