Pirelli dominates the Motocross of Nations at Red Bud in USA with SCORPION™ MX SOFT tyres

Gautier Paulin guides the French National Team to victory again at the Motocross of Nations, Pirelli grabs victories and holeshots in all three races

Buchanan (USA), 8 October 2018 – An incredible crowd followed the seventy-second edition of the annual Motocross of Nations that was hosted by the Red Bud circuit in Michigan. The track consisted of medium/hard soil with a sandy surface and due to the heavy rains that hit the area during the weekend was particularly slippery and tricky. The SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front and SCORPION™ MX Soft rear tyres could show their full potential with high performance that enabled Pirelli-equipped riders to achieve exciting results in all classes.

Gautier Paulin led the French team to the Chamberlain Trophy for the fifth consecutive year. Behind the French was a great second place for the Italian team fronted by nine-times World Champion Antonio Cairoli, Alessandro Lupino and Michele Cervellin. The Dutch team, which deployed Jeffrey Herlings, Glenn Coldenhoff and Calvin Vlaanderen took third position.
Pirelli also took overall victories in the MXGP class with Jeffrey Herlings, in MX Open with Glenn Coldenhoff and in MX2 with the freshly crowned world champion Jorge Prado.

The Motocross of Nations brought down the curtain on a triumphant 2018 for Pirelli, a season in which the brand has been confirmed at the top of each championship category thanks to the excellent capabilities of the tyres.
