HARMONIOUS LINES, POWERFUL PERFORMANCE
The new Grand Soleil 48 is born from the cooperation between the prestigious Nauta #yacht Design team, the naval architect Marco Lostuzzi and Cantiere del Pardo’s Technical Dept. Their expertise resulted in an important Made-in-Italy project: a real revolution in the 50-feet sailing market.
A POWERFUL AND EASILY HANDLED SAIL PLAN
The sail plan has undergone exhaustive VPP speed simulation programs analysis. The outcome is a powerful but easy handling sail plan, with all control lines lead back to the cockpit.
A FAST HULL
Avant-garde technologies have been used to develop the Grand Soleil 48 hull lines: CFD fluid dynamics analysis has been used for all the structures – more than a month’s work and 120 hull simulations were needed to arrive at the final hull and appendages design. FEM analysis of all structural parts was done in order to better study the loads and weight distribution. The result? A boat characterized by speed, lightness and stiffness. The project is dedicated to those owners who love having fun, sport-cruising and offshore races. Fast, stylish and elegant: these are the main characteristics of this boat, which recalls both the Grand Soleil 58 Performance and the smaller Grand Soleil 34’s family feeling.
TOP CONSTRUCTION
First-class materials and techniques have been used for this important project. The main characteristic of the Grand Soleil 48 is the possibility to choose among different types of construction: epoxy vinylester, epoxy or carbon. All the TOP CONSTRUCTION bulkheads are in composite.
