New Range Rover Evoque named GQ’s ‘Best Compact SUV’

The new Range Rover #evoque has been awarded ‘Best Compact SUV’ at this year’s GQ Car Awards. 

Built for the city and beyond, the Evoque’s world-first ClearSight Ground View technology creates an ‘invisible’ bonnet, making it easier to navigate high city-centre kerbs, or tricky off-road terrain. The new ‘ClearSight’ smart rear-view mirror transforms into an HD video screen, allowing the driver’s view to remain unrestricted by passengers or large items in the back.

Fuelled by sustainable innovation, the #evoque offers premium alternatives to leather. The Kvadrat upholstery combines a durable wool-blend with a technical Dinamica® suedecloth, made from 53 recycled plastic bottles per vehicle. Eucalyptus contains natural wood fibres that use significantly less water than traditional materials during production.

The new #evoque is also the first Land Rover with Smart Settings, which uses artificial intelligence to learn the driver’s habits, media preferences, and preferred temperature settings.

The second generation of the sector-defining #evoque has been a long-time coming, but it was definitely worth the wait. Quite simply, it is the ultimate luxury city car with unimpeachable off-road credentials and sets a new standard for compact SUVs.
