The scent that welcomes travellers arriving in Valsesia, along a road without bends and surrounded by dense vegetation, is the scent of wild and pure nature. The sound is the sound of the river flowing among small churches and typical stone buildings characteristic of local architecture with walls inserted into the rock, almost trying to remind that nature should not be dominated, but only supported.

Managed by the Mira Hotel group, the Alagna Experience #resort interprets at its best the wild and chic spirit of Alagna Valsesia and its territory. The hotel, designed by the studio Pandolfo-Boggio.Garino Architetti Associati s.r.l. of Varallo, consists of three independent buildings, connected to each other by arcades and balconies that allow to enjoy the wonderful view of Monte Rosa and the mountains surrounding Alagna. A few steps away from the hotel, a paved road leads to the small and charming village and the Walser Strasse is a not-to-be-missed walk among period houses, with the typical stone base surmounted by dark wooden balconies with their cascades of colourful flowers overlooking small gardens and well-manicured vegetable gardens.

The rich and unique tradition of Walser architecture with its large loggias and its slate gable roofs is also elegantly recalled in the aesthetics of the hotel whose interiors have been realized by the renowned Valtellinese company #Concreta srl. With its 50 residential units and 240 beds, it offers a variety of residential accommodation ranging from 30 to 60 square meters. When you enter the embracing suites of the Alagna Experience #resort you get the feeling of being a guest in an elegant ‘baita’ (mountain hut).

Each breath-taking view from any balcony or window is an added pleasure. One could say it is not a simple stay but an intimate and immersive experience characterized by the scent of wood, by the warmth of the swimming pool overlooking the mountain walls covered with vegetation, by the pink sunset that brushes the peaks and by an extreme attention to detail that make you feel at home, as the exclusive breakfast in a suite brought inside a rustic box. A #resort where romance lights up in the evening through the small lights that decorate the pitched roofs and prepare for the food experience in the restaurant Il Corno Bianco, inviting to continue the evening in the Stube Im Land.

The arrangement of the staggered chalets with three or four floors above ground and overlooking a central square with a slight slope, makes the exposure particularly pleasant, while the high-tech finishes allow to combine the charm of living in a mountain hut with all modern comforts. All around, the majesty of Monte Rosa, easily conquered thanks to the ski lift, with three ski and trekking areas from the top. Im Land Alagna offers plenty of activities ranging from rafting to free ride, from paragliding to fishing, from cycling to hiking.
