From #interiordesign to tailor-made solutions, up to complete turn-key projects made to specification. This, in a nutshell, is IDS, Interior #design Service by #jumbogroup.

An in-house company division that was first set up in 2006 to address new market needs and to provide an even more punctilious response to the requirements of a sophisticated high-end clientele, wishing to personalize their living interiors with the variegated and unfailingly refined proposals presented by the Group.

Today, our international clientele, one of great refinement, is more than ever in search of exclusive furnishings. Such clients are not in the habit of visiting stores and tend to appoint #interiordesign firms to interpret their desire for unique solutions”- explains Thomas Munafò, General Manager of IDS.

It is on these grounds that the Group first conceived the idea to invest in an internal division endowed with the capacity to flank clients through all phases of the project, while also acting as the ideal partner of interior designers and the architectural practices involved from the start. Today, IDS, with a team of 12 architects coordinated by Chief Architect Luca Pasutti, is in a position to offer a global service, from the initial survey through to the executive phase of the project and terminating with the assembly and layout of the interiors.

The sales support service, which basically consists in arranging the various elements chosen by the client on the premises, is actually flanked by an #interiordesign activity, which may vary to suit individual requirements, and is focused on jointly defining the materials, structures and decorative elements and selecting and coordinating the craftsmen or even the workers involved in the final phase of the project.

Such is their confidence in IDS, that clients often entrust the department not only with the actual #design of the interiors, but also with all those aspects and various phases of the overall project: such as the external gates of the buildings, possibly made to specification in wrought iron, floors, plasterboard elements, furniture, boiserie wall panels, kitchens, storage units and even doors, lighting fixtures and drapes. In the case of such complex projects, dozens of partner firms and Italian craftsmen are involved, who also coordinate the work in the assembly phase, because the installation demands maximum precision.

Our service is always made to measure” – explains the General Manager of IDS - “hence the vital importance of the phase in which we listen carefully to the client and build up an empathetic relationship. A trusting relationship is often formed right from the first meeting and this makes the going much smoother in all of the subsequent phases”.

IDS does not intend to replace #interiordesign studios, but sets out to facilitate the project, working side by side to achieve an excellent result. An architect or interior designer who turns to IDS can count on the strong manufacturing flexibility of #jumbogroup and on the possibility to customize products of their own #design, if so required. To back up the #design firm’s experience in interfacing with a sophisticated and discerning clientele or in operating in a particular ambit, IDS offers its product expertise combined with an effective support in producing suitable samples and renderings which are useful for the purposes of project presentation, sure to be even more specific and effective thanks to this all-hands approach.

With the luxury classic Jumbo Collection and its three fashion brands (Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors, Gianfranco Ferré Home and ETRO Home Interiors) in addition to the “artifacts” of JCP Universe, poised between art and #design, Jumbo Group is able to satisfy a wide spectrum of tastes. And to conceive, according to the client’s requirements and degree of open-mindedness, either mono brand projects, for which there is a particular demand in the luxury contract/hospitality business, or complex multi-brand solutions, in which the products of various brands are harmoniously mixed and matched, playing with finishes and materials, to create unique stylistic solutions.

For Limassol del Mar, a luxury real estate project in Cyprus due to be inaugurated shortly, the choice has fallen on Gianfranco Ferré Home. With its primary product line, the brand has personalized the shared living spaces and a number of exclusive suites, while bespoke solutions have been adopted for the apartments, in line with the typical requirements of the contract business.

For Huawei Technologies, a leading player on the Chinese and global technology market, one of the Group’s most important collaborations in recent years, the project has taken the direction of an across-the-board selection of products together with some challenging tailor-made solutions.

Particularly active today in China, Russia, the Middle East and India, with some interesting developments in the United States, IDS is mainly engaged in residential projects for clients with a high purchasing power. Future growth strategy contemplates investments in the sectors of luxury hospitality and yachting. In the latter ambit, the My Royal Romance project is particularly worthy of note: a 95 metre – 8 main cabins plus rooms – totally customized by the #jumbogroup #interiordesign service.

The IDS communication strategy is pursued through its participation in the industry’s foremost trade fairs (Salone del Mobile di Milano, Moscow and Shanghai), the on-going relations of the Area Manager with architectural #design firms in the various target countries and, above all, word of mouth.
