The popular Georgia Garden collection in a new natural color

The spring news from #sikadesign combines the best of two worlds; the charm of natural materials with the unique durability of ArtFibre.

For the upcoming season, #sikadesign is launching the popular Georgia Garden collection in a new natural color called “Alu Natural”. For almost 80 years, the passion for #rattan and wicker #furniture has characterized #sikadesign, and with the new exterior color it will be possible to create a beautiful connection between indoor and outdoor.

“At #sikadesign, #rattan is our DNA. For years, we have felt a need for our #rattan #furniture to be able to stand outside all year round. This we are now able to solve by offering our weather-resistant garden #furniture in a new color that fits perfectly with life outdoor”, says #louiseandreasen, owner and CEO of #sikadesign.

The new “Alu-Natural” is rich in nuances which gives the wicker #furniture a warm and natural look. Where #rattan is recommended for indoor use, Georgia Garden #furniture can be used outdoors - all year round. The #furniture is hand-bend in aluminum, which is further powder-coated and woven by hand with Sika-Design’s own specially developed ArtFibre. The result is #furniture that can withstand both frosty weather, heavy rain, and UV-radiation.

Sustainability is a natural part of the mindset at #sikadesign, where the focus has always been on comfort, good craftsmanship and durability.

“Rattan is one of the most sustainable materials for #furniture manufacturing but if #rattan is used outdoors, it will only last a few seasons, and that is not sustainable”, says #louiseandreasen and adds:

“Our mission has always been to create #furniture that can last for many years - both in terms of #design and durability. Therefore, the new Georgia Garden collection is a natural extension of our existing range”.

The Georgia Garden collection is designed to stand in the open air and to make garden life as easy as possible. As always, the #furniture is maintenance-free and able to stand the test of time. The quality of good craftsmanship is also seen and felt in the cushion range, which is handcrafted at Sika-Design’s own studio, located at the headquarter in Denmark.
