A new design born from the common thread between the nautical tradition of powerboats, the precision and attention to detail typical of tailoring, and the continuous research aimed at proposing cutting-edge solutions.
Designed to be perfectly adapted to the needs and desires of owners in terms of layout, materials, finishes and engine room equipment, NY40 features a "V" hull designed by engineer Maurizio Zuccheri (Zuccheri #yacht Design) that gives her a sporty, high-performance character.
On the other hand, the sophisticated and elegant design by Alessio Battistini and Davide Bernardini (IDEAEITALIA) makes her profile extremely recognizable.
As a world premiere, #ny40 will be presented at the #cannes Yachting Festival, September 6 to 11 , 2022, in her stunning green hull version, inboard engines with sterndrive and 4-meter-long T-Top protecting both the pilot station and the central cockpit area.
On the deck, which is personalized by a charming teak arranged in a fishbone pattern, attention is grabbed by the large stern sundeck whose perimeter structure is made of tubular steel, which in turn is enriched by a seamless woven yarn that, in besides being uniquely designed and sophisticated, the fabric is made entirely from recycled plastic.
The sundeck features an adjustable backrest and, via electric opening, gives access to a generous storage, below which there is a very large engine room that makes it easy to access the instruments, simplifying their maintenance.
Going toward the bow, there is a pair of openable and extendable teak tables that, complete with telescoping steel drums, accommodate up to six people and act as a base to further expand the sundeck by using the cushions of the 3- seater peaked sofa.
The dining area also includes an equipped and customizable piece of furniture: this includes a refrigerator, ice-maker, a waste compartment, a cooktop, and sink.
The furniture, moreover, becomes the base from which the structure of the T-Top is developed.
The helm station, cared for in both aesthetics and comfort, features two totally custom Nerea seats where the lines that make up the base of them form the stylistic pattern of the company logo.
On-board electronics were provided by Simrad Command: a graphical user interface with advanced, high-profile functions that combines design, elegance and simplified control of all electronic systems on board (lights, anchor, engines, bilge pump, batteries, cooler, etc.). Depending on the owner's needs, each function can be managed directly through a Simrad® multifunction display, selecting the level of complexity and the amount of data to be displayed according to navigation requirements.
The bow, with its sleek and slender profile, can be accessed by convenient side passages and provides an additional space on board to relax. The area also houses the locker where the electric anchor windlass system is allocated: a custom folding snout that, designed in collaboration with Besenzoni, greatly facilitates stops.
Nerea also made use of Besenzoni's know-how for what can be called the real innovation of this #yacht: COSMO. Cosmo is the stern platform with a large fixed portion and three additional steps that can be moved down or up, fulfilling all the functions that usually characterize the tender lift, gangway, swim ladder and swim platform.
Inspired by the 4 elements air, water, land, and fire, it allows you to reach the dock (land), dive in when elevating (air), as well aś become a ladder to enter bathing in the open sea (water): the word COSMO is the perfect combination, where the fire is represented by the boat itself and its power.
The overall length of 12.19 meters and maximum width of 4 meters gives NY40's spaces great livability making her perfect for enjoying a cruise together with friends and family.
Indeed, #ny40 is capable of embarking from 10 to 12 people and accommodating up to 4 people for several days, considering the berths on board. In fact, below deck, the space is divided between a bathroom and two cabins: in the stern there is a cabin with two spacious and comfortable single beds, while in the bow there is a double cabin with ample storage space.
As an alternative, the aft cabin can be replaced with one with a French bed, and the bow cabin with a dinette that features a broadside sofa that can be converted into 2 berths, if needed.
The decor chosen has a fresh, striking and contemporary style with soft pastel colors, muted shades and matte finishes. The details, on the other hand, refined and strong hues, give character to the environment and define it.
The choice of materials is intended to enhance the perception of space and comfort, as well as the large windows that make the rooms very bright and allow to recreate on board that intimacy and security typical of one's own home.
Open mesh fabrics, oleomalta, soft touch lacquers and natural leathers. Materials designed to make every detail pleasing to the touch and to the eye. Cutting-edge selections, sometimes with a green perspective, without ever sacrificing quality and refinement.
Oleomalta (Oltremateria), in particular, is one of the most innovative materials that Nerea decides to use on board and, to date, is the only shipyard to use it. Used in the coating of continuous surfaces, both interior and exterior, it holds up to very high decorative standards thanks to the freehand laying of specialized operators able to create unique designs. In addition to giving a distinctive and unique feature to the product, oleomalta comes from environmentally friendly components that purify and improve air quality.
The model on display first at #cannes Yachting Festival and then at the Genoa Boat #show (from 22nd to 27th September) is equipped with two Yanmar 8LV370Z engines - inboard with sterndrive - providing great performance and enabling 35 knots of cruising and 40 knots of top speed.
As an alternative to the Yanmar engines, the choice can be between two Volvo Penta V6 280hp engines, or prefer two 300hp D4 engines, two 380hp D6 engines, or even 440hp D6 diesel engines.
NY40 is versatile. In fact, depending on your needs it can be configured with the style closest to your taste: without T- Top it becomes a magnificent open, sporty but classy, modern and timeless.
The inboard engines can be replaced by the outboard one with a choice of three Mercury V300 V8 engines, two Mercury V600 V12 engines or three Mercury 450R engines.
Thus, an iconic model is born, conceived through careful study of proportions, similar to classical works of art, unique in their formal balance, play of light, shadow and harmony of all elements.
NY40 perfectly identifies with the #nereayacht brand and its passion for stylistic and qualitative refinement that has always characterized Made in Italy.
