CHLOE'
The Story
The spirited optimism of the Spring-Summer 2016 collection is captured in this season’s campaign as #chlo girls skip across cobblestones and mosaic-tiled footpaths of a bustling summer city. Bathed in the warm sunshine, each girl glows with unique personality and an individual sense of style – showcasing their natural grace and easy friendship. Embracing a carefree and bohemian spirit, the time of day shifts subtly throughout the series, as the dynamic movement of the season’s technicolour ombré silk dresses, printed lace and athletic, romantic separates are captured in the dazzling sunlight.
“This campaign is very exciting for me because I really wanted to create a new energy for #chlo this season. Theo is a photographer I have worked with several times before and I really appreciate his youthful eye and spontaneity behind the lens. I also wanted to bring new faces to #chlo as they represent a more adventurous, free-spirited, impulsive side of the #chlo girl,” says Clare Waight Keller, #chlo Creative Director.
The Cinematography
A sense of universal optimism and joy is imbued throughout this story, in the very first campaign shot by American photographer Theo Wenner for the Maison. The mood of his sun-drenched images is instinctual and spontaneous, as shadows and sun flares accent each moment. Closely cropped, these moments feel personal, in-the-moment, echoing the up-beat buzz of city's streets.
