GENE MACHINE’s amazing crew has completed a heroic Transatlantic Cycle Challenge in support of two great charities. With a converted #amels bike on deck during GENE MACHINE’s transatlantic passage, the crew took turns cycling 8771 km – the distance from Vlissingen to St. Maarten – and finished 10 hours in front of the #yacht. These heroes even stopped mid-Atlantic to rescue the crew of a dismasted Bavaria 44 taking part in the ARC 2016
The objective of GENE MACHINE’s crew was to raise both money and awareness for The Heart Research Institute and Ducks & Drakes Cancer Trust. Both causes are closely linked to members of the crew who have lost friends and family through both cancer and heart disease.

GENE MACHINE is a 55-metre #amels 180 (180 ft) delivered in 2013.
