After a first collaboration in 2009 with "Crystal Candy", an impressive set of candy boxes, the enchanting Jaime Hayon is once again extending his fantastic style to the #baccarat universe with a resolutely modern collection at the border between #design, art and decoration. Carnival of Animals

With a happy tribe of six animals, in limited edition, Jaime Hayon offers a singular vision of wild fauna: an owl with a mesmerizing look, a fox with a pointed muzzle, an adorable koala, a rabbit with erect ears, a mischievous monkey, a joyful frog! With boldness and generosity, Jaime Hayon once again manages to highlight the exceptional know-how of the manufacture.

The coolest of designers, Hayon gives a new twist to animal sculpture in a perfect balance between past and future, heritage and creation. He revisits existing codes to invent new forms and recreate the personality of each species: the silhouettes, all in roundness, are adorned with electric shades, deep cuts and geometric patterns. Placed on a marble base, each creature celebrates the beauty of nature, while, between fantasy and emotion, they reiterate the importance of protecting the world around us. Long live biodiversity!

From Paris to Tokyo, to New York, via London, Moscow, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, the carnival of animals will cross the oceans to be presented in every continent throughout the year.

The collection, in a limited and numbered edition of 25 pieces per animal, will be made to order and available from October.

For the first time, the twisted branches of the chandelier are dressed in champagne crystal. Master of color, the designer combines pink and mist grey to highlight each element, pampilles, octagons, bells. Light Blue Bird

The light blue bird perfectly embodies the creative talent of Jaime Hayon. A mixture of poetry, vision and precise work on the material. Perched on its legs transformed into a pedestal, the little animal seduces with its pure lines carved from a single block of crystal. Maneki-Neko

Baccarat is an infinite playground for Jaime Hayon! By injecting a dose of humor and fantasy into traditional forms, he gives objects a new character, at the border between art, decoration and #design. The proof is with this reinterpretation of the Maneki-Neko. A traditional Japanese talisman, Maneki-Neko is the "cat who invites", bringing luck and fortune. Revisited by Jaime Hayon, the little feline is adorned with original patterns in the shape of a mouth, an eye, diamonds, arabesques, stars and traces of paws: the ears, the eyes, the mouth and the whiskers of the animal are underlined with a gold thread applied by hand by the gilders of the manufacture. In a final touch of humor signed Jaime Hayon, the cat begins to stick out its tongue with mischief: luck and joy all together in one object!

About Jaime Hayon

Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974. His artistic vision was first fully exposed in the ‘Mediterranean Digital Baroque’ and ‘Mon Cirque’ installations. These collections put Jaime at the forefront of a new wave that blurred the lines between art, decoration and #design, also added a renaissance in finely-crafted, intricate objects within the context of contemporary #design culture.

Jaime further defined his vision in subsequent solo exhibitions and shows at major galleries, and #design and art fairs all over the globe. After founding Hayon Studio in 2001, his wide client base has spanned diverse functions and mediums, including domestic furniture for B.D. Barcelona, Wittmann, Cassina, Fritz Hansen, &Tradition and Magis; lighting fixtures for Parachilna, Metalarte and Swarovski; and sophisticated objects for Bisazza, Lladró and #baccarat. He has also executed complete interiors for leading hotels, restaurants, museums, and retail establishments worldwide.

Hayon Studio’s creative base is in Valencia, Spain with offices in Barcelona and Treviso, Italy, Jaime’s work has appeared in the most prestigious art and #design publications worldwide.
