Bentley announces new board member for sales and marketing

  • Alain Favey joins #bentley from Škoda replacing Chris Craft who retires after 27 years with the Volkswagen Group 

(Crewe, 5 March 2021) Bentley Motors has announced the appointment of #alainfavey as Board Member for Sales and Marketing reporting to Chairman and CEO, #adrianhallmark. He replaces Chris Craft who will retire from the industry after three years with #bentley and a total of 27 years working within the Volkswagen Group.  

Alain Favey joins #bentley from Škoda where as Board Member for Sales and Marketing he led the launches of the current model range including the brand’s first fully electric vehicle, the Enyaq iV. He joined the Volkswagen Group in 2009 as Head of Sales for Europe for Volkswagen passenger cars before becoming CEO of Porsche Holding Salzburg, Europe’s largest car distributor, in 2012 and has over three decades of experience in the #automotive world.

Chris Craft’s appointment at #bentley crowned a long career with the Volkswagen Group. His previous roles include Managing Director of Porsche Great Britain as well as Director of Volkswagen UK and Škoda UK. During his tenure, Chris has been deeply involved in Bentley’s renewal, record sales were acheived and he has helped set the 101 year old company on its path to a fully electric and sustainable future from 2030.

Chris Craft will retire from #bentley at the end of April.  #alainfavey will join #bentley in June, 2021.
