Bremont opens its manufacturing & technology centre

Bremont has been on an unwavering 19 year quest to manufacture watches in the UK and the opening of our new centre is a considerable leap towards that dream. The #bremont Manufacturing and #technology Centre, aka "The Wing", is a state-of-the-art facility for manufacturing mechanical watches, the likes of which hasn't been seen here in the UK since the 60s. We believe it will also be the envy of many of our respected Swiss friends too! It provides the perfect foundation for the future growth of Bremont enabling us to manufacture more components here in the UK and cement our global position as a luxury watch manufacturer. Not only has The Wing been designed to perfectly fulfil a manufacturing requirement but also with architectural merit that makes it a destination for watchmaking. At the start of #bremont all those years ago, we aimed to be more than just a marketing company outsourcing the watch manufacturing overseas, and we knew it would be a massive challenge.

NEW 2021 TIMEPIECES

SUPERMARINE CHRONO

Bremont adds its first sports chronograph into the brand's iconic Supermarine dive collection, a range that has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2009. The unique design and capabilities to withstand extreme conditions have been extensively tested out in the field by elite military squadrons as well as top dive units around the world. Putting the watch through its paces is former Royal Marine Commando, ex Special Forces Sergeant and current 'SAS: Who Dares Wins' star, Jason Fox, who #bremont announces as the latest ambassador to join its impressive line-up.

S302

The new S302 joins Bremont's Supermarine Type 300 range, a range that responded to a demand for a professional dive watch in a slightly smaller iteration at 40mm. The vintage aesthetic follows on from its predecessor, the S301, but with added GMT functionality. The burnt orange GMT hand beautifully complements the 24-hour markers seen around the watch's dial ring and the colour applied indexes which use the company's iconic 'P-51' Super LumiNova. These details are further accented by the new Sahara Vintage leather strap against the black dial of the S302.

ARGONAUT AZURE

The Argonaut Azure is the latest addition to Bremont's Armed Forces Collection, a collection borne out of a collaboration with Britain's Ministry of Defence and honouring Her Majesty's Armed Forces. The striking new blue dialled Argonaut Azure is a 42mm hardened steel cased military dive watch, housing a three-handed chronometer rated BE-92AV movement. The internal rotating bezel is operated by a lockable crown at 4 o'clock and with minutes being so critical in the marine environment, the readability of both the hands and dial were crucial in the design process.

WILLIAMS RACING

Bremont is delighted to become Official Timing Partner to British racing icon Williams Racing. Two British engineering businesses, each with its own British heritage, both based in Oxfordshire and both embarking on pivotal new chapters in 2021. As #bremont becomes Official Timing Partner to Williams Racing, the two firms will be starting a new journey together going into the 2021 Formula One season and will be looking to collaborate on a deeper technical level throughout the #partnership. Bremont's move to its new state of the art Manufacturing and #technology Centre, which marks the start of a new era for British watchmaking, is perfectly timed to enable a knowledge sharing focused around their respective CNC machining capabilities.
