Smiley® 50th Anniversary is a one-off anniversary edition that uses art by #andresaraiva to celebrate five decades of positive vibes. Bright yellow graffiti translates the original banner that greeted readers of France-Soir in 1972: "Prenez le temps de sourire."

Artistic expression and subversion have always been part of the Smiley® oeuvre. For this limited-edition release, a spray-paint icon cap and André's freehand slogan lend a smile to our signature ZERO silhouette. Edition number and artist's signature are engraved in metal. 

An extra dose of happiness lies in store for fountain pen users, with the icon's beaming grin engraved into a custom 14K yellow gold nib. Fuel it – and your imagination – with a complimentary bottle of special-edition ink.

The 50th birthday year of Smiley® is celebrated with editions of 365 examples in all modes. Realised in IP palladium steel and finished with hand-enamelled resin, each is a paragon of positivity. Lose yourself in writing – and Take the Time to Smile!
